WhyLegder (“WhyLegder”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is operated by Why Legder, registered at Abdullah Market, Pipariya, Madhya Pradesh, India. WhyLegder is an intelligence layer that turns your meetings into a searchable memory of decisions, commitments and context.

WhyLegder is a meeting-intelligence and accountability layer for teams. So that you understand exactly what data we handle and why, here is what the product does and the data involved at each step:

• Joining a meeting — with your instruction, our assistant (a clearly named, visible participant) joins a Google Meet, Zoom or Microsoft Teams call using the meeting link you provide. It is present so everyone can see the session is being recorded and transcribed.
• Capture — during the call we receive the meeting audio (and, where available, video) and process it into a written transcript. You may instead upload a recording or paste an existing transcript. For calls in Indian languages, including Hindi, Marathi, Tamil and mixed Hinglish, audio is transcribed with an Indic speech engine; English and other international calls use an English speech engine.
• Speaker attribution — the transcript is split by speaker, and you can label each speaker with a real name so the record is accurate and attributable.
• Live suggestions — during the call the co-pilot may suggest grounded, evidence-linked questions or points to raise next, based on the transcript so far and your project's context.
• Memory — after the call we extract structured items (decisions, commitments, open questions, next steps, facts, risks and objections), each linked to the exact transcript quote and speaker it came from, and a short summary. These build a searchable, long-term memory for your project.
• Knowledge base and search — documents you add and the memory we build are indexed so you can ask questions and get answers with a citation (a 'receipt') pointing back to the source. Search and similarity indexing (embeddings) are computed inside our own systems.
• Context you provide — organisation and project details (industry, priorities, goals, notes) that help the co-pilot interpret your meetings.

The audio, video, transcripts and everything derived from them are your data. We use them only to provide these features to you and the members of your organisation you have granted access, and never to build a product for anyone else.

We collect only what we need to run the service:

• Account information — your name and email address, provided when you sign in with Google.
• Google account data (only if you connect Google) — your Google account email address, and your Google Calendar events on a read-only basis, used to sign you in and to list and schedule meetings. See the dedicated section below.
• Meeting content — the audio, video and transcripts of meetings you bring into WhyLegder, whether recorded by our meeting assistant, uploaded by you, or pasted in as text.
• Derived intelligence — the decisions, commitments, questions, facts and summaries WhyLegder extracts from your meetings, and the evidence quotes linked to them.
• Usage information — how you use the product (for example, features used and number of questions asked), so we can operate, secure and improve it.
• Payment information — if you subscribe, our payment processor collects your billing details. We do not store full card numbers ourselves.
• Support communications — messages you send us.

When our assistant joins a live call, it appears as a visible participant so others can see a recording is taking place. When you upload a recording or paste a transcript, you confirm you have the right to do so. You must comply with all applicable recording, wiretap and privacy laws for every meeting you bring in.

• To provide the service — join or process your meetings, build and maintain your memory, answer your questions with cited evidence, and prepare briefs and follow-ups.
• To operate and secure the product — authentication, billing, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting.
• To improve the product — in aggregated or de-identified form. We do not use your meeting content to train third-party AI models.
• To communicate with you — service notices, and (only if you opt in) product updates.

We rely on a small set of trusted providers to deliver the service. They process data only on our instructions and under contract:

• Recall.ai — joins and records live meetings on supported platforms.
• AssemblyAI — speech-to-text transcription for English and international languages.
• Sarvam AI — speech-to-text and translation for Indian languages, including Hinglish and mixed-language calls.
• Anthropic (Claude) — analyzes transcripts to extract decisions, commitments and answers. Your content is not used to train Anthropic’s models.
• Amazon Web Services — secure cloud hosting and storage.

Search and similarity features are generated locally within our own systems, so the underlying content stays inside our infrastructure. A current list of subprocessors is available on request at info@whylegder.com.

When you sign in with Google, and if you choose to connect your Google Calendar, WhyLegder requests these Google OAuth scopes and uses the data only to provide the features described here:

• userinfo.email — your Google account email address, used to identify and sign you into your WhyLegder account.
• calendar.readonly and calendar.events.readonly — read-only access to your Google Calendar and its events, used to show your upcoming meetings so the assistant can join them and so you can schedule sessions. We never create, edit or delete your calendar events.

We do not use Google user data for advertising or any advertising purposes, and we never sell it or transfer it to data brokers or for creditworthiness or lending purposes. Google Workspace APIs are not used to develop, improve, or train non-personalized AI and/or ML models. We only transfer Google user data to the subprocessors listed above as needed to run the service, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger or acquisition — never otherwise.

You can revoke WhyLegder’s access to your Google data at any time from your Google Account permissions, or by disconnecting Google Calendar in WhyLegder Settings.

• We never sell your personal data or your meeting content.
• We never use your meeting content to train third-party AI models.
• We never share your content with other customers.

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual meetings at any time, and where available you can set raw transcripts to auto-delete after a chosen number of days. When you delete content or close your account, we remove it from our active systems within a reasonable period, subject to legal retention requirements and routine backups.

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, access controls and least-privilege practices. No system is perfectly secure, but we work continuously to safeguard your information and will notify you of any breach affecting your data as required by law.

We serve customers in India, the United States and elsewhere. Your data may be processed in countries other than your own, including where our providers operate. We take steps to ensure your data receives an adequate level of protection wherever it is processed.

Depending on where you live — including under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act and the EU/UK GDPR — you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these, contact info@whylegder.com and we will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

WhyLegder is not intended for anyone under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we’ll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of WhyLegder after an update means you accept the revised policy.
